Welcome to Epic Charity Games 2020!
About Epic Charity
Epic Charity Challenge was established by Retired Navy SEAL Officer Lance Cummings in late 2016, with the goal of creating annual challenges in iconic locations that raises awareness to a specific charity. These challenges are designed to be arduous but achievable for average people with a purpose.
2019: A team of 30 Elite Athletes traveled to the Philippines to retrace the steps of the historic Bataan Death March. This multi day event involved self supported trekking through rough terrain with challenges along the way.
2018: A team of over 30 headed to Normandy France. There, they swam 10km in the English Channel, landed on Omaha Beach. The following day they carried 44 pounds of sand 26 miles to St Lo’ France. A truly epic and historic event with over $200,000 raised for the Navy SEAL Museum.
In 2017, he led a 20 person team to Greece where they retraced the route of King Leonidas and his 300 warriors from Sparta to Thermopylae to intercept Persian invaders, 250 miles in eight days. They raised over $130,000.00 for The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation and Navy SEAL Foundation.
Iwo Jima 2020
You are invited to participate with me on the ECC 2020 event in Iwo Jima, Japan. Dates for the event are included on the attached flyer from the Iwo Jima Association. The costs of the trip are similar with previous events in 2018/19, with a small donation to the Semper Fi Foundation for each participant.
As in previous years, you will cover your own transportation to site (Guam) with additional costs this year going to the tour company. Hence, the donation to Semper Fi will be only $500 per person. Total costs (depending on your air fare from home to Guam and return) will be $5,500 (tour and donation), $300 registration costs plus air travel.
I have reserved only 20 seats on the chartered aircraft going from Guam to Iwo Jima on March 27. The first 20 registrants will get these seats. The tour is sold out other than these 20 seats. If you want to take your spouse or family to Iwo Jima, they will count toward the 20 total seats, but each seat/person going will need to donate to Semper Fi in order to go on the trip.
We will also do some team building exercises on Guam to include Dragon Boat racing, Scuba diving (certified divers only) swims (short distance, calm water) and additional tours of Guam battle sites. I am working with some military units on Guam to obtain boats for private tours of Tinian and Saipan.
Dates (Subject to Change): Arrive Guam March 25th, 2019. Depart April 1 or Later.
